The Trinity

I've been tagged by the ever brilliant Chaplain ,and here are the rules of this particular meme. I have to select three members of my blogroll that are a unique combination. I can write a tome of their uniqueness, or I can be succinct. I have to promise to play nicely. And then I have to tag 3 other people.

Well, I don't know how I could ever possibly pick just 3 blogs from the blogroll I have on here. I think everyone's blog is unique simply because we're all different people, writing in different ways. But, I have a super secret blogroll. Well, not really secret, I just haven't taken the time to update my list on here. So, I've decided to pick 3 from my super secret blogroll, because I think these may be some blogs that you haven't encountered before. I've never commented on any of these blogs. I'm just a lurker, but I still enjoy them.

  1. What is it? Here is the description the blog author gives, "I've been collecting unusual objects for quite a few years and have just recently started posting them on this site as puzzles for visitors to figure out what they are." Just for the record, I rarely can identify what the objects are. But since I love odd things, I love this blog. I also want all of the objects posted on it.
  2. Shorpy: The 100 Year-Old Photo Blog I adore old photos. ADORE them, and this blog is all about them.
  3. Faces in Places Photos of objects that resemble faces. And these don't even claim to be Jesus faces or Mary faces. Just faces.
I tag anyone on my not-secret blogroll who hasn't already been tagged with this meme.

Take Care,
Babsadoodle

  1. Cool unique blogs. I can even think of an image that might be displayed simultaneously on all three: A 100-year-old photo of an unidentifiable object that looks like a face.

  2. Wow, those are wild, Babs. When I look at blogs like that I am reminded of how thoroughly unoriginal I am when compared to the creative likes of those bloggers. And, far from getting me down, it actually helps me enjoy it all the more!

  6. Ex - Maybe you should write to the authors of these blogs and suggest they do a collaborative post.

Lifeguard - I know. I try and think of what I could start a blog about that would be really unique and I haven't come up with anything, yet. It doesn't stop me from admiring those who have, though.

Chap- Yep. I find them to be a nice change of scenery, so to speak.

Claudia - I love that one, too. But I think it's because I already see faces in stuff. Of course, I didn't have the brains to think that it would make for a really cool blog.

Carla - Me too. It's amazing what you can find if you just wander around for a little bit. That's usually how I find the kooky websites. By just driving around the Internet without a map and no particular destination.

  7. Babs, you said:

So now, despite the "ooh"-factor of the three sites you've sent us to, I'm going to tell you why most of us will continue to visit Flumadiddle far more often than any of them. Those three blogs have gimmicks that are clever. You have content that's clever. That's sort of like the difference between My Mother the Car and Seinfeld. I'll take content over gimmicks any day.

  8. Oh, stop it. You'll make me blush. Thank you, though. It is nice to hear that I don't need any gimmicks for people to read my writing.

Did you hear that, people? No gimmicks necessary.

You are plenty original. I googled "atheist attorney" (to find out something I wanted to know about your last post) and got your last post!

Babs, I love old pictures too so thanks for Shorpy. I can look at old Los Angeles pictures for hours.

Anyway, Shorpy had some pictures from the 1860's that I thought were of incredible quality for being that close to the beginning of photography. I've seen Civil War pictures before that weren't nearly that quality.
